Mountain biking is fast becoming, one of the most popular high adrenalin sports around, Similar in many ways to the sport of motocross. Lots of people would most likely prefer to do it the astro boy way , just like in the movies, but i suppose that’s maybe not possible for everyone. But anyway, cheap mountain bikes are really starting to catch on amongst all those adrenalin junkies out there, and perhaps some of the average guys just looking for a bit of fun and excitement. Well they definitely wont be disappointed, because this has to be one of the most thrilling exhilarating sports around.

Getting a bike to suit can be a bit of a dilemma, main reason for this is the many different types of bikes that can be bought today. Lots of people will just go for the cheapest mountain bikes, alought there is a lot to be said for choosing one that suits your style of riding.Of course there is lots of different disciplines involved within the sport, the three most common ones you will find are, cross country, which involves as it says riding across country . Usually through rough and rocky terrain, quite often hilly ground and through forests and the like. This type of riding is most enjoyable, and is maybe slightly more relaxing than some of the other disciplines, but never the less still a very demanding sport. A lot of riders would use mountain bikes like Cube or Commencal, for this style of riding, which are possibly two of the top brands available. Of course its perfectly ok to use the cheapest mountain bikes, for some people who for one reason or another are finding it fairly tight for funds, these cheap mountain bikes will do the same job.

No2 on the types of mountain bike riding is trail riding this can involve a lot of skill and balance; also takes a lot of physical strength as well. At the same time trail riding can be a lot of fun , and is often enjoyed by the casual Sunday riders. Who just enjoy a ride through the forest, or whatever the trail maybe. This discipline is probably the most popular of the three. The third discipline, and most definitely the most exciting for the thrill seekers and adrenalin junkies, is the downhill. In this type of riding the riders start off, usually at the top of the mountain and then follow the track down. The terrain will normally be through the forest, in and out through the trees over jumps and rocks. Normally the terrain will progress to open,”usually rocky ground”, which makes for great spectator sport.

Included in some of these tracks will be drops of up to fifty feet, so this sport is definitely not for the faint hearted. So it goes without saying that there can be a lot of injuries and falls invloved with this sport. Its very important that if you are thinking of taking up this sport, to make sure you wear the proper safety gear.ie Helmut boots and some sort of body armour. These items can all be found at most cycling stores.

One of the largest up and coming sports around at the minute is road cycling. Everywhere you go you can see people on road bikes it seems to be coming more and more popular Of course its a good way to relax, at the same time burning up those calories. In todays world where health or the lack of it is becomeing a real issue. With waiting times at local hospitals becomeing progressing longer and longer, due in some respects to goverment cut backs, and other various ways to save money,in these hard economic times. The onus is more and more being put on the indivual to stay heathier for longer. In that way saving a lot of money on the amount of time that people spend in hospital. So what it boils down to at the end of the day is, it’s up to the indivual to stay fit and healthy. One way of doing that is cycling, weather its just for fun , club riding or something a bit more competitive. It all helps to keep us fit, in todays world most people are much to reliant on motor vecuiles as a form of transport. That is why Goverment today are really encourageing more people to cycle. Weather its to work or just short journeys like poping down to the local shop for a newspaper or something like that. I’m sure as you know in the unitued kingdom at the present, Goverment are trying to promote the cycle to work scheme. Where an induvidual gets tax relief on ther price of a new bike, and of course this is great to see.There’s lots of great varity in the type of cycles you can buy at present. Weather its cost or type of bike. One of the best road bikes around would be in my opinion the Pinarello Dogma 2. The latest model for 2012. This is a top of the range road bike, with lots of the top components on board. If you can afford it well and good, for it really is a supberb bike. But for lots of people like myself we will have to settle for something a lot less expensive. And there’s lots of cheap road bikes around at great value for money, that will do excatly the same job. We have bikes like Carrera Vitruso which is under 1000 pounds, and ideal for the beginner , or even for the slightly more advanced. I suppose over the years there has been some great movies made with cycling involved. Probally some of the older movies, when cycling was a way of life for some people. But as things progressed and the moter veciule took over, cycling lost a lot of its imputus, but i would guess in the next few years we will see more of a return for the bicycle. Which will hopefully play a big part in people’s health. Tackling issues like obesity, will make a major improvement to society in general. Keeping people out of hospital, and therefore making room for people with diffrent types of illnessis. So there’s a lot to be said for keeping fit, and at the same time heathly, and if you hav’nt cycled for a while why not give it a go. You never know you might just get hooked on it.

Astro Boy Loves Cycling?

I was asked quite a silly question lately, if astro boy like cycling, and I was actually very shocked when I heard it. My inital response was, of course not, he can fly, so why on Earth would he want to cycle! An unusual question but one that definitley got me thinking later on that day and made me wonder, what bicycle would astro boy want, what would be great for him? I choose the Cube Analog; assuming that he would want a cheap and high performing bicycle at the same time.

The Analog is hardtail mountain bike, and due to the very adventurist side that Astro Boy has, I am quite sure that this is the sort of cycling that he would be interested in. The Cube Analog proivdes great value for money compared to most other bikes of it’s kind on the European and American markets, which definitley makes a huge difference to anyone that is thinking about buying the bike, even a child robot!

If you have’nt yet watched this film then I would advise you to, because its a very good watch, and may even get you thinking about starnge and odd topices like it did with me. Likewise, if you’ve never had a go on a Cube Analog before, then you should really try it. I’m almost certain that you will be extremely impressed by both, just as I and many others have been.
